First Tymlos Injection

Posted by edturner @edturner, Jul 29, 2025

Who helped you with your first injection. The speciality pharmacy said I would receive my supply from Fed Ex and to watch a video or read instructions to get help!!! I’m going to call the doctor to see if I can go to her office the first time . I want to make sure I am doing it right.

Tymlos has a team of online educators who will get on Zoom and give you one-on-one instructions before your first shot or as you do your first shot. I found the person I was assigned very helpful. She also encouraged me to call her with any follow up questions. Here is a link to the page where you can sign up for an online appointment.

@sandy25 I'm receiving my Tymlos today - am very anxious since I have a TON of drug allergies. My Rheumatologist office is SO very busy. I'd like personal guidance on my first injection from them as well; after that I think I'll be good to go. I love this website, everyone is so upbeat and supportive,

@dunksmom1207 It will be fine. I was apprehensive at first. Then, it just became part of my morning routine, like brushing my teeth. The more you do the injections, the better you get at it, don't worry. It's really a very tiny needle.

@dunksmom1207 I don't know what specialty pharmacy you are using, but I am using Acarial Health. Each time I am scheduled to get a shipment, I get a phone call from them, offering to put a pharmacist on the phone, in case I have any questions about drug allergies, side effects or drug interaction. They want to know about any unpleasant side effects. When I needed to change the delivery date, I emailed Acarial customer service. Karen Soto, Manager, Patient Services, responded, and she checked back twice to make sure I received the service I needed. Also my Tymlos clinical educators was terrific - she coaxed me through the injection part (explaining that the needle was just the width of an eyelash!)
