First FDA-approved Treatment for Bronchiectasis
I just received an email from the Bronchiectasis and NTM Association with the following news:
"Today, Insmed Incorporated announced that its new oral medication, brensocatib (Brinsupri), was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of bronchiectasis and the first dipeptidyl peptidase 1 (DPP1) inhibitor.
Brinsupri is a once-daily pill that targets inflammation to help reduce exacerbations, or flare-ups, which may slow the decline of lung function. Talk to your health care provider about whether new treatment options may be right for you."
I just sent a copy to my pulmonologist to get her input. This is exciting news!

Received a response from my pulmonologist as follows:
"Thanks for sharing. $88K/year! "
Maybe after time on the market, things will hopefully change. (trying to think positive!)
