Eye cancer

Hi,
Have an appointment with my doctor on thursday.
ScaredI have eye cancer.
Female 61. No medications etc
Week ago I noticed streaks of light in the corner of my right eye. Also some floaters appeared. These streaks of light are only seen in the dark, at night or early early orning.
Have researched and it is either the vitreous membrane breaking away or eye melanoma.
Scared...feel sick just thinking about it.
Am hoping it is not anything serious but...
Thanks for reading.

Update. Doctor said to go and get looked at straightaway and why did I not go first? Said I thought I needed a referral. Anyway got squeezed in ( light streak in eye got me in quick). An hour and a half later have been told it is the vitreous gel. Apparently it has already happened to my left eye and I never noticed ( showed up on the eye photo thingys ( dont know the machines name). Had these drops put in that made it open your pupils so they can see inside. That was a hoot ( not). Shone more lights into my eyes and checked to see if the "wallpaper" as it is knkwn had not torn away and the retina had not detached. Came back good. He did ask me how many floaters could I see. Left eye none but right eye a few. He said there are more than a few! I go back in about 8 weeks to have more of the same. If it appears to be getting worse will have to have the laser treatment...
Good news really.
Thanks for letting me rave on but I was quite scared. I do have anxiety issues which dont help.

Please don't worry until you are seen. I know that's easier said than done. This cancer is so rare. Hopefully it's something else. Worrying doesn't change anything, but believe me, I get it.

No doctors told me to have my eyes checked but thankfully these websites have given me so much knowledge and I went and had an OCT vision test done. I was then referred to a retina specialist. I did have floaters during the night (didn't realize that's what those streaks were called). The specialist showed me my hemorrhages and they are very few and far between but he wants to watch me and have me come in every six months to compare the photos taken to make sure nothing severe is happening. I would just lose it if I lost my eyesight. Hopefully your floaters will be corrected with the laser treatments.
