Experiencing distorted vision

Has anyone experienced distorted or blurry vision while changing focus? If my eyes are looking up or down and I change focus to straight ahead, I have blurred vision for a few seconds. Almost like dizziness or double vision. My ophthalmologist doesn't have an explanation and I am worried that it could affect my balance and result in a fall.
