Experiencing pancreatic fluid leakage post-op: How long does it last?
I am 3 weeks post-op distal pancreatectomy with spleen and gall bladder removed. I have been draining 50 ML/Day since coming home 2 weeks ago of pancreatic fluid. I spiked a 102 degree fever and felt awful. went to ER where CT showed small pockets of fluid. Went on oral antibiotic.....tooka few days for fever to subside. Felt awful. Starting week 2 of antibiotic. Does anyone have a similar situation to share?

Thanks you 🙏 MayGod Bless you 😇all. Partner doing okay. Still has a drain (80 ml /day) weeks 5 post sx. surgeon would only take it out if < 10 ml. He spiked temp of 38-40 C 2ndary to severe left shoulder pain(gas), pain on drain site therefore unable to mobilise so no output coming out. He was reluctant to go to ED unless he said" if he really feels bad" 🙄, he managed it himself by increased fluid intake more so Gatorade. Encouraged him to get up and about then fluid started coming out then fever subsided now okay. He is having his 2 dose of vaccines next week. 🥰
