Excessive cold clammy sweats while tapering prednisone
Hello. I am new here. I’ve been put on multiple rounds of high dose prednisone this past 6 months with varying tapers that were successful until this last course of prednisone. In the past while on high doses I’ve had warm flushes to my face but never cold clammy skin until this last round and taper. Since I have been decreased to 5 mg daily I have pale cold clammy skin with excessive sweating constantly. Has anyone else experienced this while tapering and if so how long did your symptoms last?

Predizone for me was a horror story
Too many sweaty episodes
I do not have MS but will soon be tested for neuromuscular
Sweats and refuse to take it long term
Do not understand where the alternative meds / treatments are
Had 1 yr of itchy throat during long dry low snowfall / moisture winter last yr in mn
Dr said seen quite a few who had this
It appears that the common allergies and colds … appear to not have successful treatments
Over the counter drugs has too much in them so then there may be other symptoms occurring
When I was younger we were treated in the dr office
I was under a cold vapor tent
Ent did in office treatments too
Something is not quite right if I have this crippling cough still that niw hurts my ribs
Acupuncturist put needles there
That helped but my chiropractor- acupuncturist is expensive
I think I may be responding to the wrong message
I wanted to share with 3 others that my labs are doen too after Covid shots

@scy - did you do a taper off of the prednisone after you decided it produced too many sweaty episodes? If so, how did that taper go for you?
