Stabbing pain at upper right rib cage: Every minute is panic to me
I'm 37 years old, female. I went to ER at Feb 27 2026 cause stabbing pain at upper right ( rib cage). Every test done came out normal ( Ultrasound, blood test including liver function and urine test ). but CT scan showed : Indeterminate 4.3cm x 3,9cm hypodense lesion in the lateral segment of the left hepatic lobe. I was so panic but doctor just said I need go MRI to make sure more. He said he didn't not see any cancer spread or anything serious yet ( Should I believe him ? or he just tried to calm me down? ) I did a lot of research online but verytime and more informations that just give me more panic.
I schedule for the MRI on March 11 2026 and I did see GI doctor today ( March 03 2026. The GI doctor said the same as ER doctor that she doesn't think I have cancer after went through all my blood test results. Or more likely that would be the benign. I have ordered blood test Hepatic and come out normal today. Now I'm waiting for the Hepatitis B result ( after I talked to GI doctor I did not have the Hep B vaccine before). I didn't done any activities cause high risk of Hep B . But I'm still panic during waiting for the result.
I have IBS Diarrhea for 5 years ago. I have done Endoscopy once and Biopsy that normal from 2021. But I never have Colonoscopy done before.
Last year, I noticed to GI doctor my IBS diarrhea ( that worse more depend on my anxiety) and may have constipation now. She just gave me some over-counter Medicines helping loosing stool. I told her I went poo 3 or 4 times a day after eat but the stool no blood sometimes just had loose stood no blood but seem to be more mucus after I swiped off my anus I saw the mucus on toilet paper but no blood. GI doc. said the more mucus could be normal. Right now, my stool came out harder and smaller than unusually. She asked me any sign of shortness breath or too much coughing. I don't think I have. She checked and pressed all my belly today.
Every minutes right now to me is waiting and panic. I'm just sitting on the bed and cry too much thinking my life will be over. I have family all said I will be fine just hope, but hard to do. Even my 2 doctors form ER and GI said I will be ok.
I'm not feeling ok until my MRI and Colonoscopy done
I have MRI to find out live lesion benigns or malignant on March 11. I have Colonoscopy on March 19
I don't want Hep B test post, MRI showing I have Malignant or liver lesion spread out by colon cancer .
Please help me for any opinions.

*** COLONOSCOPY****
My colonoscopy schedule had pulled up earlier than a week, I got my colonoscopy at 03/12. The night prepared was uncomfortable, I kept went to bathroom every 10 or 15 minutes, feeling like pee out from butt hole, dehydrated, and wasn't sleep that night. I talked to my father that night, he said he had some polyps removed during colonoscopy and they told him come back after 5 years but he doesn't want to, I was so upset and explained to him how important that he needs to come back if they want to check up.
My appointment at 12.45 pm but I have to wait for more than 2hrs because the staff said there are a lot of people who older than 50 years they have a lot of polyps have to remove and everything had back up more than 2 hrs.
I changed my clothes but my bed stay across the operation room that cause me more nervous everytime that door closed/opened and they moved patients in/out. All nurses so nice and they kept smile at me, asked me : am I feeling ok everytime they passed throught my bed. The nurse came in :" One more person and you will be next ,hun ". My eyes tearing cause I so scared, I said : " I'm not afaid of pain or sleep but I don't want doctor said bad news after I woke up " then she called doctor came in talked to me. Doctor so nice, he tried to calm me down and asked me why I came here for, what are the symptoms, then he just said : " I'm glad that you come here and you are not ignore all symptoms."
Before that anesthesia liquid knocked me sleep, I prayed to God, to my Grandparents please take care of me and I will be ok.
" Honey, You're done". I have a cup of ginger ale and crackers, doctor came in with a smile and he said I have small hemorrhoids ( he wasn't done anything because it so small, just need eat more high fiber food and exercise) , colon clear, no polyps, come back after 10 years. Because I said I have more mucus in stool that he took 2 biopsy at left and right for sure I don't have celiac disease . Dedicated doctor !!!
I have the result after 2 days - Negative Celiac.
I have MRI adominal with and without contrast on 03/16, everything went through fast, staffs are nice and professional, I have 45 minutes for the scan, I chose country music that help me relax. They sent the images to radiologist right away after I'm done . Next day, I have result posted at patient portal ( super fast) !!! .

****My Message*****
I have health anxiety that I stayed on the beg and cried, thinking my life will be over. I spent days and days researched on Dr. Google. But all informations that just stress me out. So, doing research is good and help you mor understanding your health but You need to follow up and listen to your doctor who more undertstanding your health.
Dr. Google" often amplifies health anxiety (cyberchondria) by prioritizing worst-case scenarios, turning mild symptoms into panic over serious, rare illnesses. To stop this cycle, avoid searching symptoms, rely on reputable medical sites, and seek professional medical advice instead.
Staying active and maintaining a sense of normalcy while waiting for medical results is crucial for managing anxiety, often referred to as "scanxiety." The most effective approach involves a combination of physical movement, engaging distractions, and intentional self-care.
