@bebea no I didn't mean right after the injection. How did your side effects start? I had a sudden onset on day 10. Meaning I was fine at 6am and had extreme symptoms of pain and burning when I woke again at 8am !

@ Windshores, I didn't keep track so astutely as you are doing. During the I believe my side effects at the "peak between 4th and 7th started approximately 4 to 5 hours after the injection on day 1 lasted for at least 7 days.
Does that help you?

Yes that is a different experience. I am not keeping track astutely 🙂 With my first set of injections I had an issue similar to yours though. Hope you are doing well.

Do you have CTx and P1NP tests planned for the near future to make sure Evenity is working for you? It would be awful to endure the side effects if it's not actually working. I have a DEXA with TBS and VFA scheduled for 3 weeks from now. Because I have to drive a long way to get there, I'm going to ask my doctor to order more BTM labs to make sure my numbers are headed in the right direction before I get to far into the treatment.

What is VFX? I’m in a major metro area in Texas and can’t even find TBS. Where do you go? I’m definitely doing markers.

Hi @sallyj, That's a good question. I only recently learned about it. A VFA is a Vertibral Fracture Assessment. It's another tool for predicting risk of fracture. Similar to TBS, it's done during the DEXA, and like the DEXA, the cost and the radiation exposure are low. It's used to identify fractures of the spine, past and present. Some can go unnoticed, and the more there are, the higher the risk of future fractures.

I sent a private message to the wrong person yesterday, I left off the "2" in your username. Sorry about that. She might be a little confused when she reads it. I resent it to you just now.

I only found out about the VFA scan when my Endo added it to the order for my next DEXA. Other than the location where I'm having mine done (see that private message), I don't know any other locations. I guess you'd have to call around in your area to inquire.
I'd love to know if you find a place that can do the scan. Please let me know if you do.
OP is so complex. I feel fortunate to have access to a great medical system, and I hope you do too.

Thank you! We did that and every location we called said they don’t do it. One location will do for one dr. only, which is very strange.

So there are locations in your area that are on the list from Medimaps, but they don't do the TBS? That IS strange. Apparently, where I'm getting mine done, they do it with every DEXA. I've heard that it's a bit slow to catch on in the US, but common in Europe--I don't understand why that is. I live in a small community where my local doctor said that the TBS won't provide much info, and that the DEXA is all I need, so I'm driving quite a distance where I have access to a doctor who understands the benefit of the test, and where I feel fortunate they can and will do it.

Yes, one of my doctors called many locations onthe list and then I followed up and they don't do them. Weird. My friend in LA always has TBS with DEXA.
