Europe based members

Hello everyone,

I would like to do a quick poll to find out how many of us are living in Europe and discuss what treatments we have available on this side of the pond.
Since the European medicine organizations have somewhat different medicine approvals than the FDA in the States, it would be interested to get a base line. Also it would be interesting to find out what treatment options we are being offered in Europe. I know myself, in Germany alone, I have interacted with a dozen various doctors for my PCa and receive half as many different opinions.
Additionally, the AnCan foundation is running regular live webinars where the have several doctors joining in. Since some of their webinars are held in the evening time (US Time zones) it may be difficult for some of us in Europe to attend.
I have spoken with the founder of the AnCan about holding some webinars earlier for the European audience and we would like to do a row call to see how many people would be interested in attending such webinars.

So, a simple response with the country in Europe where you are joining from and if you are interested in attending the AnCan webinar would suffice for now.

Thank you very much for your time and as always, be strong and stay positive.

hello! we are living between France and the US. My husband who is French ,76 yrs old in excellent health and very physically active was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer after a a PSA 9, followed by a biopsy, 3+4 intermediate unfavorable Gleason score . He was treated with 8weeks of radiation in association with ADT. He is approaching his 6th month of ADT and will have to decide whether to do another 6mos. The Dr who is treating him advised 2 yrs although another radiologist initially mentioned 6-8 mos. He was in very good physical condition before treatment . The radiation was tough but he made it through and regained energy quite quickly. There were no major side effects at the time except back pain and little muscular pains and more stiffness which has persisted and seems to correspond to ADT side effects. Although he is very disciplined about daily exercise I worry that too long a course of ADT could affect his body health negatively and reduce his physical strength and ultimately activity. We are in the US and I am trying to find the latest research on ADT duration and efficacity and find a DR who knows the subject who could offer a second opinion before we return to France at the end of Feb to know if the approach/treatment is the same in the United States. We did read the Jama Nov report. Any advice or information would be appreciated.

Hi all the list keeps getting bigger.

Don't forget to add to the list your stage and age. We are trying to see if we have both intermediate and advance members to know how to better tailor the meeting.

Also AnCan would proposed Wednesday or Thursdays, at 9 pm Eastern/ 8pm Central/ 7 pm UK/Western. Let us know what works better, since we would like to schedule the first meeting middle of February.

I would like to appologize for failing to post a link to the AnCan website (ancan.org) where you can find all sorts of resources including some recording from the other webinars and chats.

Here is a link for the Low/intermediate PCa Video Chat so you can get a feeling how the chat will be like:
