Essay question (?) for new patients
When I applied to be a patient at Mayo a couple of years ago I remember a question on the application that was almost like a college essay question. It was something to the effect of "Why do you think you would benefit from being a patient at Mayo Clinic?" I've tried to find that question on the website but can't. Does anyone remember the exact wording? And do they no longer ask that question?
Thank you!

Does anyone know if you can see your original responses to these questions? I ask because I was very specific and yet when I just visited they did not schedule me with half of the doctors they should of because of a scheduling issue.
@katydurgin, I suggest calling the scheduling office at the Mayo Clinic where you submitted the form originally. Any additional appointments needed will usually be set up in your patient portal. Do you use Mayo's patient portal?
I do use the portal. I have already visited the clinic and returned home but frustrated to learn when I got there that they hadn’t scheduled me with the correct team for the disease that I have. So I was only able to see one doctor for one portion of the disease rather than the other two I should have also been seeing.
