Endometriosis spread on bcp - now deep infiltrating endometriosis
Hi all,
I [33f] just had my first pelvic MRI and it basically confirmed I have deep infiltrating endometriosis (DIE; which is such an unfortunate acronym) despite having a laparoscopy in 2024 and being on bcp. My sigmoid colon is tethered to the top of my bladder and my sigmoid colon also attaches near my right ovary.
I've been complaining about new bladder symptoms and sharp pains by my ovary and was dismissed because it could always be explained by something else. I am just trying to process all of this information and not be swallowed by depression. Ideally, I'd want to have kids, but my chronic conditions would make it illogical (chronic fatigue, CMT, POTS, MCAS, etc.) and I feel like I have to consider a hysterectomy to manage my pain and reduce the chance of getting a frozen pelvis.
Please be kind I'm very emotional about this even though it confirms that I've been right this whole time. Validating, yet overwhelming.
