Hi @pickleball1946, others members have mentioned getting their prescription drugs through online pharmacies. You're wise to do your research on the specific pharmacy you use when it comes to ordering online. Some pharmacy websites can look trustworthy when they are not. It's important to always check to make sure an online pharmacy is legitimate.

I offer these articles that offer tips on finding reliable online services.

My husband and I entered into the so called donut hole last year and both are on Eliquis. I asked my PCP about drugs from Canada and he gave me information about a pharmacy that other of his patients had used successfully. LifeRx is the one we are using to get Apixaban/generic Eliquis. They offer several options as to amount, strength and source for the drug including the UK, India and, of course, Canada. It took awhile and some calls to their help line to order from their somewhat confusing website and at the time the payment methods included American Express as the only credit card they would accept. The other option was to use wire transfer which is what we use. I received notice that they now do not accept any credit card for payment. You must provide them with a prescription from your doctor...ours gave us one on a full 8X10 sheet. Easily legible and fax-friendly. LifeRx notifies us when we are eligible for refills and the refill process is quick and easy. The cost of my 3 month supply was under $70 the first time but the cost increased the next time to $76. This included shipping. The price fluctuates. Expect a wait time between 2-3 weeks to receive. I'll admit I was nervous about ordering from them and was anxious waiting for the shipment to get here but we are very satisfied with the price and the help line is available. Good luck.

Good morning. Just wanted to briefly post that today's price for generic Eliquis (Apixaban) at LifeRx is $87.39 for 60 tabs of 5 mg produced in Canada.

Many of us take this anticoagulant (5 mg) for Afib at the usual dose of twice daily... so for a three-month supply the cost would be: $262.17 plus shipping. This is much more economical than going through any of the Medicare Part D programs I've looked into.

You may wanna search other mail order pharmacies to determine if even greater savings are available.

Thanks for the info. Currently, Eliquis 5 mg through Humana Advantage Centerwell Pharmacy is more than Wal-Mart's price of $150 for 60 tablets. $150 for 60 tablets. No wonder Eliquis is the first drug on President Biden's suggested list of 10 drugs for Medicare to negotiate price. And, another thing, why do we still have this donut hole. I thought it was supposed to disappear like the bad dream it was when originally authored.
