Electrical brain issues not showing on tests
Currently my left face is heavy, my left hand isn’t working at times, daily brain fog, fatigue. I’ve never had a seizure. The tests don’t reflect anything new which is so frustrating. My Neuro Dr says my symptoms are result of tiny brain bleeds. He prescribed Keppra two 250ml am and pm. After 1 pm dose of 2, I was asleep all day. After 1 pill in pm, I’m sleepy and worse than if I don’t take it at all. I appreciate your experience.

Are you taking Keppra to prevent seizures from bleeds? Nearly all seizure meds cause drowsiness although it may decrease as time goes by. Keppra causes brain fog in some people.
Take care,

Hi @stindell,
Welcome to the Epilepsy & Seizures Group at Connect! It's great to have you here.
I experienced much fatigue when I started on Keppra last December, so I can really understand what you're going through. It took some time for my body to adjust to it, something that's pretty common with these anti-seizure medications. Honestly, the best thing I did was listen to what my body was telling me and rest as much as I needed.
You might find it helpful to check out a discussion we have going in our group about Keppra side effects. Lots of members have shared their experiences there.
Side-effects from Keppra?

Are you experiencing any other side effects besides the fatigue?

Ask your doctor if you can take Keppra extended release at bedtime to help with your sleepiness.
