Effect of COVID vaccine on Jak2 MPN

recently had moderna vaccine. platelet count went down ; then spiked up after a month. Does vaccine affect/how does it affect those with mpn's Will platelet count stabilize?

I had both Pfizer vaccines and my platelet count went up but I had to stop taking Hydrea two weeks before first shot, waited three weeks for the second shot and then went back on Hydrea two weeks after second shot. I wonder if stopping Hydrea for that length of time was the reason. Did anyone else stop Hydrea for any period of time

I had both Moderna shots in March and April 2021. I did not stop taking my Hydrea 500mg at all. My platelets dropped just a little bit. (276,000 1/21 to 252,000 5/21) next to no change. I had no effects from the shots at all. Taking Hydrea for 3 years now. Stay Frosty!

Hi Bluegrass.....I am glad thay you are doing so well i wonder if maybe I should not have stopped the Hydrea,
as advised. It has been two months and my platlets are still high. My doctor has, again, increased my Hydrea to 10 pills a week instead of 6. Just had blood work yesterday so I hope there will be some improvement as I am feeling that heavy fatigue once again. Feedback very much welcome
