Echolight sonogram scan for bones
Has anyone heard of, or had an Echolight sonogram scan instead of a radiation DEXA scan? New FDA approved that has been used in Europe for awhile. https://www.echolightmedical.com/en/company/

Sorry to ask so many questions…just curious.

This is the website for booking a REMS appointment that I used. I chose the Egan location.

2 ReactionsI had an Echolight scan this past spring when I first started Osteo-Strong so I could have a baseline. The result was similar to the DEXA I had done a few months prior.

1 ReactionI have an Echolight in December and a DEXA a few weeks later, so it will be interesting to see the comparison. Even my endocrinologist expressed interest in seeing the Echolight results.

1 ReactionLet us all know. I did my first complementary Osteo strong session yesterday and I was so afraid to hurt myself. How have you found it? I have not signed up yet Nina.
I have been doing Osteostrong for 27 sessions and I get compliments on my posture all the time. Yes, I do other exercises but I believe it is the Osteostrong. My numbers have all improved so I am sold. I am sorry you feel afraid but I personally am more afraid of a hip fracture than of hurting myself.
Thanks for the useful information. Where did you have the echo light test? This sounds like a good thing to do.
I did the echo light in Cherry Hill NJ at osteostrong. I think it’s a nice addition to the DEXA to compare. Mine was better than the DX I had last February but I have been on hormone pellets bioidentical therapy since then I’m hoping that also increased my bone mass.

1 ReactionI'm scheduled for next week. Do they try and talk you into Osteostrong?
No, they do offer you a free session which I went and did. I decided not to join at this time and they didn’t give me any pressure.
