Ears and balance problems

Does anyone else balance problems and always feel like you just got off a ride? I have very bad balance problems with heaviness in the right side of head and falling to my left.

I am wondering if you have any signs of hearing loss along with tinnitus and vertigo? They often go together. Untreated hearing loss can be an issue, but even when treated that doesn't always make the other issues go away.

Have you seen an ENT specialist about your concerns?

Yes, I have seen a specialist but as you probably know, not much can be done. I have had tinnitus for a couple of years now. Then the balance thing kicked in. When this flares up I take a medication called Betahistamine, that controls dizziness. I think it helps some. When the flare ups go away I stop that medication. As for tinnitus I play sounds with pods to relieve some days of louder noises. I keep hoping there will a cure for these problems. As of now, my hearing loss in minimal. Thanks for writing.

I also forgot to mention that I have SSHL in my right ear and severe tinnitus in both ears. The vertigo episodes are just a wonderful "perk" that goes with it. LOL

Yeah ain’t it all just a ball of fun. LOL
It is amazing that I have been able to tune the noises out mostly. But there are days I think if I pay attention to them I would lose my mind.
Mine range from electricity traveling through wires sound, roaring and plugged ears, Sometimes pulsating along with it. I have an aunt that has tinnitus and it is music. She even sings along with the tune!! Take care.

Hi again, wow. Sure is something to live with. Thank God I have been able to tune it all out mostly unless there are days when my tinnitus is roaring then I have to work mentally to be as positive as I can. I am really having problems with balance. Just not good walking. I do think it is connected to the vertigo. Fun getting old. 😂
