Anyone dealing with dysphagia? What helps?

Posted by praying4miracle @praying4miracle, Feb 16 7:16pm

Had a very bad tonsillectomy TORS Jan 2025 where the surgeon cut my carotid artery..followed by strokes. Struggling with dysphagia and looking for electrical stimulation of some kind. Anyone know of anything like that. It has been a year of doing exercises and I can swallow puree with still some risk of aspiration.any advice or help would be appreciated.

@janetlev I'm sorry that the Willow is no linger available, as it is good for the neck. I am currently also searching for the best red light device for the face. My PT has not been very helpful with this. Good luck with your search.

@sepdvm I am looking at the Celluma sport now. I think that company is very reputable. My husbands pt and slp didn’t know anything about it either. Good luck

I use the vielight device...made for the head. It is not a neck device though. Are you looking for something for the throat?
