Dry Mouth. Particularly at night. Solutions?

I was diagnosed with Squamous of the tongue and lymph nodes. Following surgery, radiation and chemo/cysplatin I've had chronic dry mouth. A friend of my husband's who had similar surgery recommended Xylimelts stick on mints. I bought mine off Amazon and the box of 40 was less that 20 bucks. They really work. I sleep through the night. And my daytime dryness is much better also. They work for me.

@mazkat Would this work for someone who has to be careful about Aspiration Pneumonia? I take everything through a G-tube nothing orally so I'm concerned xylimelts might produce too much saliva and it could go down the wrong pipe.

@omaest it doesn’t produce saliva, it wry slowly releases xylitol which alleviates the dryness. Try it while awake first and upright just for peace of mind. The tab sticks excellent to your gums or large tooth until it’s completely dissolved making them great to sleep with without worrying about swallowing. Hope that helps.
