Doseage
I'm new to this diagnosis and have been at 25mg. Its been ok, but yesterday I was hurting again. I dont want to raise the dosage yet. How long should I wait? Will it continue to fluctuate like this?

I was on day 3 of 15mg of Prednisone and my left shoulder was still painful enough in the mornings for me to ask my doc if I should maybe go to 20mg. He advised giving the 15mg a little more time to work. By the very next day the shoulder pain had resolved, so I am glad to have waited a bit longer before increasing.
Prednisone is hard on the body, and the negative effects (osteoporosis, cataracts, paper-y skin, heart disease, etc.) are cumulative and are dose and duration dependent, so you and your doc need to find the minimum dose that gets the inflammation down and gets you back to normal daily activities.
@superfly999 thank you so much for your response. I see my rheum next week
Try splitting your dose by taking 15-20% in the evening or before bed and the rest in the morning. That worked for me without having to increase my initial dose.
