Does using umbilical cord tissue help with Nephropathy?
My mother has Nephropathy. She has attended a meeting where they say they can use umbilical cord tissue to help with the Nephropathy. I am trying to find out if this is true. She is planning on making an appointment to get this procedure done. I am concerned it is a scam.

Hello @35427689, Welcome to Connect. I have no medical background or training but would be very leary of any small clinic or medical facility advertising they can this type of treatment. I don't believe there have been any clinical trials but I'm not sure. Here's some information I found that may be helpful.

Are you able to share the name of the facility or organization that held the meeting?
The facility is: Ohio Advanced Medical. They are located in Dublin, Ohio. They have been operating less than 6 months.
@35427689, The website for the facility has a lot of testimonials but I would still be uncomfortable with any kind of regenerative medicine at any place other than a large well known medical facility or teaching hospital. Can you ask them if they have FDA approval?
