Does pain in your thigh muscles stop you from walking at 200 steps?

Can fibromyalgia pain worsen to point when walking that you have to stop? Pain in my thigh and hip muscles begins at 150 steps and increases until I can no longer walk. Vascular tests and nerve conduction tests are normal and spinal stenosis has been ruled out.

Hello! myself I was just diagnosed with fibromyalgia the past summer and diabetic neuropathy and MGUS. I have had blood tests, bone marrow biopsy and hopefully I will get a low dose fully body CT scan soon to get more answers. I have been experiencing pain in my hands, feet, shoulders, neck and thighs for years now. At first I just thought it was just sore muscles from not enough exercise. But the pain and stiffness seems to be getting worse. I felt like I was just falling apart at just in my late 40s. Now I was given gabapentin for pain but it made me so sleepy and dizzy that I couldn’t function on that medication so my orthopedic doctor told me to stop taking it. Now I just take Tylenol and ibuprofen for pain management. I do physical therapy to help me but I still struggle with lots of pain and swelling in areas. I am working on researching more info on fibromyalgia and that’s why I joined this group. I wanted to hear other people’s experiences and learn and share info about fibromyalgia.

Can anyone tell me if you also have a hard time sleeping?

What are some ideas or suggestions to help deal with the pain and lack of sleep?

what exercises are recommended to help with pain management?

Are there any specific natural remedies or medications that would be helpful for pain management?

I definitely feel your pain. Sometimes almost nothing works to sleep better but I found for me. I tried to go to bed around 10:30 if I take Tylenol about 2 hours before bed and then I take her chew a gummy 10 mg 5 CBD 5-T HC about an hour before bed. I use a sound machine, but I also use my calm app. Sometimes to hear a sleep story, sometimes to do a meditation. You kind of have to feel your way through and see what your body is responding to.

Thank you I will definitely try that to see how that works for me. I may have to alter my kids sleep schedules to an earlier time too so I can rest earlier. We have to Turn the TV off at an earlier time so we all get better sleep in my home. Believe it or not I don’t really watch a lot of tv I think the TV watches me more lol

My Fibromyalgia Friends,

I sleep very soundly and this is what makes it so; 200mg of Pregabalin twice a day ( I take one with breakfast and one with dinner), and 60mg Duloxetine at bedtime. This ‘formula’ was arrived at over time and changes in dosage. We know how important sleep is and I thought you may find it helpful. The Pregabalin helps with pain, but no medication can help the pain in my thigh and hip muscles when I walk more than 200 steps. In my attempts to determine why I can’t walk far, a neurologist I visited commented, “We may just be chasing fibromyalgia pain.” I think he may be right, but I’m not giving up just yet. Now I’m reading about muscles deep in the back/hip/thigh area that can be problematic.
