Mayo Clinic transplant experts consider the best maintenance immuno-suppressive regimen for each patient according to their medical situation. While tacrolimus remains the gold standard, there may be some patients or medical indications for which belatacept would be recommended.
Benedict, are you currently on tacrolimus? Have you and your transplant doctor talked about options that are right for you?
Thank you so much for sending this to me. I appreciate it. I am due for evaluation at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix in a few weeks. So I am not yet transplanted I have all port syndrome. One of my biggest concerns is the toll thatTacrimus and prednisone will take on my body. That’s why I had questions about the monthly infusions. Many thanks, Martha
