I am a type one diabetic with an A1c of 14. I was diagnosed at the age of six. I am currently 19 turning 20 soon. The hospital said that my liver isn’t too good. I don’t know about my kidneys, my heart or anything or how long I have left and I’m scared and alone. I don’t even know if I can get a transplant or who to ask. I wanna be able to start a family one day. And I am trying my best my family don’t really help me control it and it’s hard to do on my own.

Hello Friend,
You are never alone. You have a network here. Diabetes is a challenging disease to manage regardless of age. Especially child onset diabetes. My mother dealt with this. I observed journaling her days food intake, exercise and blood sugar readings helped her, and her medical team determine insulin dosages that worked most of the time. The automatic sugar reading patches are helpful, as are the automatic insulin reader/shots. You will need to work with your doctor to determine an approach that is right for you.

If you want a family one day, discuss this with your doctor and determine how best to achieve this goal.

Diabetes and organ issues are big pills to swallow. It is best to take it a step at a time. The next best step you can take is get your A1C reading better, so focus on making that happen.

Sending healing energy your way. Feel free to reach out whenever you wish❤️
