Does anyone have/wear inserts in their shoes?
Do these actually correct or help your condition? Are they for your feet, back, hips? There are these Good Feet stores popping up but there are no doctors there to fit you. I wonder.

@mikaylar I wear custom made orthotics in my shoes. These are measured and ordered by a podiatrist. The most recent orthotics that were made for me help me to walk straight with minimal pronation or supination to the side in both of my feet, and I’ve noticed that my hips and lower back feel better too. Medicare did not pay for my orthotics and they cost me about $200. I feel the orthotics are well worth the cost. I asked for my friends for a recommendation for a podiatrist and I found one that I think is very good.
Thank you, Helen!
Goodfeet, in my option, is a gimmick.

Go to an actual foot doctor. The ones that are hard to get into are the best. My foot doctor insisted upon a referral from my regular doctor even though the insurance that I have does not require it, but the foot doctor did. If you can get an easy appointment, they are not good.
I went to one doctor and after reading the paperwork, I walked out. Due to the fact that hidden in the insurance release of which you had to sign you couldn’t ever bring lawsuit against him for any of the work he had done on your feet. I am sure other people just said oh this is the insurance stuff you have to sign. I wouldn’t sign it and he wouldn’t treat. That is just suspicious to me.
Interesting. Thank you
I bought them I think they are useless. I ended up getting helpful inserts from a doctor.
Orthotists, who also fit prosthetics legs for amputees, are very precise in making foot orthotics. I have worn these for years and they feel very supportive in helping my alignment.
Have plantar fasciitis in one foot. Can be very painful and
unable to walk if I don't take care of it.
In the past, I have had expensive foot doctors insert, which
I didn't like wearing, or I had to wear certain shoes.
Firstly, I find runners give the most arch support, for every day use.
And, then I use Scholl's inserts that I get at the pharmacy.
I notice online there are different ones.
I tried one or two different styles. Noticed one in particular was
comfortable and I could walk a lot without pain.
They cost about $15 to $18. I have used them for many years.
Replace them when they look worn, depending on how much
you use them.
There are men's version: I make sure I get the women's.
Also, there are exercizes for feet problems online.
Rolling foams and those spiky hard rolls.
I will add that my daughter also got expensive foot doctor's
inserts, and after awhile does not like to wear them.
Hope this helps.
Thank you so much!
I wear hoaka sneakers and power step inserts. I had planter fascitis.
