Does anyone have shortness of breath while on Prednisone?
I'm on Prednisone for five days, I'm on 50 mg a day possibly strep throat but after 2 days I'm already short of breath. I've been on it before and always by the 3rd day I get short of breath. This is the highest dose I've been on and I'm already feeling it after day 2. Anyone else have this reaction?

Sorry this is happening to you, when I am on prednisone for my copd when it gets really bad I find relief cause I can take a deep breath. Have you spoken to your doctor about your shortness of breath while on Prednisone?
I have not experienced shortness of breath while on Prednisone. Normally, I have much more energy and feel great while taking it. You probably should get in touch with the prescribing doctor.
@ireland123 Please tell me what dosage and duration of prednisone you are on when your copd gets bad.

My doctor puts me on 20 mg for 5 to 7 days depending on how bad it gets.
I take 10mg a day but I wonder that it actually might cause shortness of breath. I’m trying to get better for it and use Azithromycin every 3 days. I’ll see how that goes.
