Does anyone have an itchy rash next to your scrotum?

I have an itchy rash next to my scrotum on both sides. I have been treating it with Clotrimasole. That provides a short cure. Anything better?

@howardrlewis - I don't have a rash that I've noticed but do occasionally having itching on the scrotum. I've used Cortizone-10 cream and it normally gives me relief from the itching. I did find an interesting article on the condition that might give some direction but I think a dermatologist would be in order if it has gone on for a long time.

@howardrlewis I would recommend seeing a dermatologist in order to get a solid diagnosis. Then he/she can prescribe the proper med for this itchy rash.

(Apologies if this is a repeat post. My first one didn't seem to want to work.)

In case you have poor hygiene down there (not changing underwear right away after exercise, etc.), you may have a fungal growth.

I had something similar years ago that an anti-fungal cream helped with. I don't recall which one, however. The affected area was darker than my skin tone and had a tough, leathery feel to it.

Hi as someone who has a tendency to sweat a lot I remember a time I got an itchy rash there and it had an odor. after some checking it had become more of a fungal problem I believe so I got some anti-Fungal type OTC cream. I would take showers a few time a day and change underwear each time plus apply the cream. it was gone in a few days. so I just wanted to share that as at that time I was a busy guy with my wife in the Hospital so I was probably not caring for myself better and being in and out of a hot car probably brought on the rash. so if it has an odor is a clear sign it's more than just itchy.
Have a Blessed Day

You may want to see a dermatologist sooner than later. I just heard about a newly diagnosed skin condition that is sexually transmitted and is known as TM7 or TMVII (Trichophyton mentagrophytes genotype VII). It can be treated with antifungal medication
