Does anyone have a low ejection fraction and also kidney disease?

Are there any drugs that can be given for someone who has a low ejection fraction but cannot take the recommended drugs because they are bad for kidney disease? My husband has stage 4 kidney disease and had a heart attack. His ejection fraction is about 20%. He has a pacemaker defibrillator. He is not taking any heart medications because the nephrologist says the heart meds are harmful to his kidneys. He just finished cardiac rehab and did well with it. He does pretty well most days, but he tires easily and does have some shortness of breath. Appetite is good, but energy level is very low. Just need to know what to do now. He is supposed to get an echocardiogram soon to see if his heart has improved. I guess we will wait on the result and see what the doctor says. Know this is rambling. Thanks to any suggestions. I really don’t think he has gotten what he needs from the doctors we see.
