Does anyone have a family member that passed with Sarcoma Cancer?

Posted by annben @annben, Aug 18 9:23pm

My son passed with Sarcoma cancer in June of this year. It took over a month to diagnose his medical condition. It was a rare form of Sarcoma. Because he had no obvious symptoms the cancer had spread quickly before he could seek appropriate treatment. He passed 8 days after receiving his first chemo therapy treatment. I was Hoping to connect with someone who is currently going through a similar situation. Thank you

There are many types of sarcoma, some more aggressive than others. My husband died at 36 with a "schwannoma" which is rare and originated in the heel of his foot. He was diagnosed early, before it metastasized, but died five years later after radiation, surgeries, and various chemo's. Some sarcomas can be very aggressive. I'm very sorry to hear about your son.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I am so sorry for your loss. You are fortunate it was caught in the early stages. You were blessed to have more years with your husband. My son had a rare type of the Ewing Sarcoma and very aggressive, as you read in my post. I am saddened to say it had metastasized before we could get appropriate treatment. Thank you for sharing your story.
Wishing you good health and peace
