Does anyone find that a type of shoe helps your foot neuropathy?

I am on a constant quest for shoes that don't kill my feet due to the neuropathy. I find that Spencos and Wolky shoes seem the best. Are there any other suggestions? Shoes can be just crippling for me. Horrid.

I've been wearing the "New Balance" brand of shoe this past year with arch supports from my foot and ankle doctor. They are basically running, walking, and on-your-feet-all-day type shoes. Very cushiony and comfortable. I wear them with the shoe laces very loose, and don't even tie the ends. That's my way of making them most comfortable for me and still be almost fully functional.

These shoes started to wear out, and I went with the HOKA brand, as they, too, came highly recommended to me. I haven't wore them yet fro a full day of work.

So basically I feel comfortable recommending New Balance shoes, and will have more to say about my new HOKA's soon enough.

I find Keen brand shoes help me with walking. They fit firmly. Cushioning does not help me. I need arch support and firmness.

I find Brooks athletic shoes are the most comfortable shoe for my neuropathy. They are supportive and cushiony and come in many colors.

I have Foot Drop or Slap Step from Neuropathy. Are there Shoes especially made for Drop Foot? Thanks!

Drop foot is not a problem for me but my son developed drop foot from a back injury. He realized wearing his boots helped him extremely. He had surgery but still had the drop foot so he kept wearing his boots. Now I'm talking about good leather boots with a real good arch, western style. After wearing these boots for a couple years he decided to try loafers and he was amazed how good his foot does. Now he hardly has any trouble with the foot. It's worth a try.

I’ve had good luck with New Balance 928’s and a pair of Apex hiking shoes. I’m going to try another pair of Apex for regular sneakers but I’ve tried them all and these are the ones that work for me

I have had the best luck with Sketchers

I find sketchers too spongy. My feet feel like I am walking on pussy cat pads. Keen sandals with firm supportive sole are my saviour!

My feet are super sensitive to touch and pressure. What helped me was wearing silicone sleeves for heels and metatarsal areas. With those, I can wear almost any shoes. Just need a size up cause the sleeves add up to the foot width. However, they may not be great for people with balance issues or those who need less cushion. But for pressure-related pain relief and extra cushioning, they worked great for me. I almost always wear them with socks to prevent them from rolling up. The material is not super durable but hasn't ripped so far🙏

This is the general type of silicone sleeves I'm talking about. They have some variations such as the ones that cover the whole sole. But my feet get too hot in those, so I prefer the ones for specific areas, like in the picture.
