Does anyone else with PMR have trouble swallowing?

I have had changes in my voice and also trouble swallowing. Has anyone else had these problems? It started with large pills, like Glucosamine Chondroitin, and gradually got worse to include thick pills like Mucus relief. My Gastroenteritis Doctor tried to stretch my throat when I went in for a colonoscopy and my throat started bleeding. now it is worse than it was before. I can hardly swallow even water, I have to take it very slow and swallow a little at a time.

I did not have issues with swallowing. I had issues after I stopped taking steroids where I developed a gastritis. It got so bad I was very uncomfortable. I saw a gastroenterologist and she performed an endoscopy. I found out I have a hiatal hernia. I am not blaming it on the steroids but they did cause it to show up. You dont mention getting an endoscopy. It seems to me stretching your throat might have happen what I have. There could be any number of things in your throat area causing problems. Even an ultrasound of your thyroid.
