Do you have an inspiring or favorite quote to share?

I'll start with three quotes from the very inspiring Helen Keller as noted in "Your Year of Healing" book by Amit Sood, MD:

"Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it."

"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched -- they must be felt with the heart."

"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."

Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity. (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr,)

"Sincere?" You ask!
I think he knew that often times people truly believe with conviction, e.g. believing earth is flat because they do have Pictures of ships far away but showing no sinking of the hull. BUT this no-sink phenomena happens due to Light Refraction. Since picture takers don't know the Science behind this illusion, they continue to believe -- Sincerely Believe -- that Earth is flat. In other words they often believe their false ideas because they never get to have Reasonable Discussion with the Other side.

Unfortunately too much waste and fights among us are because we either don't understand or don't TRY to engage with others who think differently.

Correction! Sorry!
The correct quote is:
"Before you go to bed, give your troubles to God. He'll be up all night anyway!"

I really enjoy Maya Angelou’s writing. Her books I find interesting and earthy.
A well known quote of hers is “If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude!”
My favorite is “People will forget what you said. And people will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel.”

One of My favorite’s is: “I can do all things with ChRIST who strengthens me….Philippians 4:13

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift. That's why they call it the present.

Progress, not perfection.

Don't let perfection be the enemy of the good. (It's ok to compromise.)

These have been really helpful as I cope with more physical limitations.

Well, I've always followed the advice in a Janis Joplin song: "Don't turn your back on love."

I should add about Janis Joplin Don't Turn Your Back on Love that when I was young I thought of it as romantic love but as each year passes that idea of love becomes more and more inclusive. And I still feel encouraged to not turn away.
