I also had an eye stroke in an already compromised eye ( myopic degenerative) my sight was gone for over a week. All the so called retina specialists said it would not come back . Gradually got some light and color back in the first month . Now four months later my vision has come back . Not like before, but it was already bad because of the eye disease. More grainy, still legally blind.Glasses don’t help at all. Sclera contacts have been a huge improvement as far as sight in both eyes, especially my bad eye. Don’t give up and don’t listen to negative diagnoses.

So happy you’re getting relief from your scleral contacts. I will be seeing a specialist for scleral contacts next week. My cornea is compromised because my eyelid is too tight because I had a tumor removed from it. Would you have any advice for me on my first visit? Any good questions that I should be asking? What should I be prepared for? Thank you!
