Dizziness and Chronic excruciating ear pain for over 3 months

Posted by tlrigel @tlrigel, May 30, 2019

Three months ago...I blew my nose and felt my eustachian tube close in my right ear...went to the gym and worked out on the treadmill...got off the treadmill and was horrible dizzy slanting when I walked...After a few hours the dizziness got worse and I started to have ear pain...I was so dizzy the first month that I could barely do anything...it was like drunk dizziness and disequilibrium...it also felt like I had bouncy feet when I walked outside or big box stores everything was off...Now my dizziness is just mostly when I walk and I still have a bouncy sensation...still have chronic ear pain...been to three ents, and a neurootologist...no one knows what's wrong...some say maybe vestibular neuronitis...I started vestibular therapy but still dizzy and still have weird ear pain...tried a myringotomy for the ear pain without a tube but not sure it helped too much with the pain...next up is an otoneuroligst...been cleared by normal neurologist...no tumor, no ms...and I have been cleared of Meniere's and acoustic neuroma...so frustrated and I don't really know what else to do at this point...seems like I have a weird thing that no one will ever figure out...

I am very similar. I did not pass all vestibular tests. I have left nystagmus. I am going to have a temporal bone mri next looking for dehiscence. Best wishes. Post updates.
