@arbez

Thanks so much. Is the ferritin level determined with a blood test? I'll check it all out.

@sfkak Yes it is.

@sfkak If you are a woman 38 or older you may want to look at hormone therapy. Perimenopause and menopause can cause inner ear changes due to lack of estrogen which may lead to dizziness. Also make sure someone has checked your ferritin level (should be over 40).

@arbez that’s something I’ve never heard of but very interesting. I know my ferritin level is good just had it checked because of my RLS. As for my hormones - they’ve never been right. But my dizziness and vertigo balance issues started before my premenstrual age. I have been told I have nerve damage in my ears. I also started wearing glasses at age six due to malignant myopia. Thank you for sharing

@dragonflylady Hope you find a answer, our bodies are complicated! Recently the recommendation for ferritin level has been increased to 40 or above as normal. If you have any inflammatory disease the lowest it should be is 100. Many testing sites haven't revised normals

@arbez Yeah agree about the ferritin level of 100 for inflammatory diseases and definitely for RLS. I just had 2 infusions to get mine up to this. And it was amazing how it also helped my chronic pain for about a week. ohmygoodness was I in heaven but for a week ;(

Dear Sfkak if you EVER find out anything that helps PLEASE share. I am like you I have been through all the test PT etc without improvement or improvement that lasted more than a month. It’s so disheartening and PT is totally exhausting for me by the end of an hour I feel like I’ve run a marathon.
My heart goes out to you and I hope you find peace
