Did anyone have Cobalt radiation as a child in the 1950s?
I had cobolt treatments in the 1950’s to shrink scar tissue on my upper chest, near throat. Now, so many years later I was diagnosed with a Meningioma Brain Tumor. Anyone?

I had cobalt radiation treatments to the side of my face & neck to 'disappear' a large strawberry or port wine birthmark as an infant. I have half a thyroid (am hypothyroid) & have lost teeth & gums plus have a handful of autoimmune conditions. But I wonder if a near fatal car accident 18 years later had anything to do with that. No memory of the accident at all. But these things change a person.

Myself and my two brothers were radiated for ringworm and I heard others for Acna and strep throat.
This was done at Sick Childrens Hospital in Toronto Canada in 1955. I am the only one left.

I am interested in information regarding roentgen therapy for birthmarks when I was born at St Joseph Mercy Hospital Ann Arbor, Mi in 1951 and any related later in life symptons, such as lumps on the head, benign or otherwise.
I was born in 1951 and, to my knowledge, never had cobalt radiation for any conditions. I’m also not sure about any dental X-rays. I’m considering six weeks of fractionated radiation for a left optical meningioma that could occur this year. In my research, I learned that a meningioma caused by radiation might grow with radiation treatments. I want to know how often that happens.
I was irradiated in the 1960's for severe bursitis of my shoulder. I don't know type of radiation used, but I received enough to get radiation burn. I've always worried because it was close to underarm lymph glands. I was due for radiation for a meningioma pressing on my frontal lobe, but it was delayed because the tumor hadn't grown in the last year.
