Diaphragm pacing for left diaphragm paralysis

Hi,
I was diagnosed with a left diaphragm paralysis after I developed shortness of breath that occurred with activity and talking. They are thinking I had shingles in my spine that caused it. I have been recommended to have a diaphragm pacer placed but am nervous about doing this. I would really love to hear from anyone who has gone through the procedure and their experience. Thank you.
