Developing multiple hemangiomas of the spine within a year?

Posted by cheryl46 @cheryl46, 3 days ago

I hate to post this on someone else's feed but I can't figure out how to start original post....
Has anyone heard of developing multiple hemangiomas throughout spine in less than a year?
I have researched normal and aggressive hemangiomas but how do you tell the difference?

I'd like to invite @katrina123 who talked about typical vs. atypical hemangiomas here, https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/atypical-hemangioma-in-the-spine/. I'd also like to invite @brayimee, @4846 and @bresun who have all talked about hemangiomas on the spine as well.

@cheryl46, were your next steps discussed with the provider who diagnosed you with multiple hemangiomas?

He didn't seem to be concerned, however he also wasn't concerned about cervical cord compression.
I have those about taking my CD to a different group of radiologists for 2nd opinion.
Not sure if that's an option 🤷‍♀️

@cheryl46 2nd opinions are always an option. In my "professional Dr. Kaitlyn" (from the University of Google med school) opinion, any sort of spinal compression should at least be looked at, considered, and a plan put in place. I'm not an actual doctor of course, but I am a chronic pain/illness patient. And I fully believe in 2nd opinions. Especially when dealing with our spine and brain. Anyway, best of luck to you!
