I had a RML lobectomy
and a RLL basilar segmentectomy
on 9/22/2025.
My care is at the Perlmutter
Cancer Center - Langone.
The first six months were a challenge- short of breath and intermittent coughing and nerve pain.

My NET specialist is at Dana Farber in Boston,MA. I know there is more
information about the NET ‘s group on Dana Farber’s website.
I believe my CT have been with contrast and without contrast. I remember
being told the injection used for contrast has been reduced to protect my
kidneys but I’m not certain about that.
I believe in prayer .
Best wishes
Emily

1 ReactionThank you for your response.
I will ask about the dye used in
contrast. I hope that age is a consideration.

Hi, I was wondering who do you see at Perlmutter and who was your surgeon? What was your surgery experience like?
I'm scheduled for a robotic LLL segmentectomy there this month and I'm very anxious about it. They say I will only need to stay in the hospital overnight for one night. Also, I live 4 hours away, so I'm wondering if I need to stay in the area after the surgery?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

1 ReactionI am apologize for not responding.
I did not check Mayo Clinic site
I am more engaged with the facebook group
Lovable Lungnoids.
The surgeon I was referred to by the interventional pulmonologist was Dr. Michael Zervos.
On 9/22/25, I had a RML lobectomy and a RLL basilar segmentectomy.
I am still experiencing shortness of breath.
I see a pulmonologist at NYU
Langone and a thoracic oncologist at the Perlmutter Center.
I hope that you are recovering from your surgery.
Are you followed by a NET specialist?

@shosh3700 I did, they removed the tumor with a lobe of my lung. After a year the coughing finally barely there.
