Depression pain and anxiety

I’m in constant pain I have been diagnosed with depression and anxiety I was prescribed Seroquel I’m on 50 mg but Psychiatrist is saying he believes something more is going on he stopped it until I get blood testing done because I’m prediabetic and wants vitamin deficiency test done and heart testing I’m 67 and wants me to try Cymbalta I am scared. The last time I did try it I was in ER with serotonin syndrome All the antidepressants do that I don’t know what to do and the Doctor doesn’t either please advise on your thoughts

Maybe try a naturopath? Try natural antidepressant , it can't hurt and it might work.

Why not start with what YOU can do...like Right Now.
My friend as I started reading I was hoping it's not anything due to lack of general simple healthy lifestyle habits as in food and physical activity.

But then I saw 'prediabetic' and I'd to take a deep breath. The only consolation -- if that's even the right phrase -- is that you are among the majority of the population. But we all know Diabetes is terrible disease. What's even more surprising that T2D is also preventable. Wondering how old I am? 80. And honestly some of my motivation comes from the fear of this frightening disease. So before I sat to type, I'd just come back from a grocery shop. Before getting there there's a 15 min walk and some park, So I said I haven't walked, why not go back the length of the park and use enjoy extra walking. On reaching home I had 25 lbs of groceries. From bus stop to apartment walking up two floor to apartment, I said: hey, wanna see how many more floors you can do,,..for the heck of it? Went four more floors as legs seemed crumbling. Walked down to my floor. This is to give you My example of 'Right Now" what we often can do.
Thank goodness, no meds, tests, surgeries and few visits to GP in life. And no I'm not lucky; with humble resources it's possible to maintain healthy lifestyle. I might do some dips or push ups before dinner under 5 minutes.

But I suspect you might already KNOW that. So I'll admit while some fear of becoming dependent is a spur, the larger reason is to be able to pursue my Purpose in life,,,far easier in an healthy fit bodymind. So I need to be pretty satisfied with the purpose I pursue With the Pleasurable means. It's almost impossible to live a life on-diet and exercise forsaking simple pleasures of surprise, awe and curiosity, of friends and refreshing sleep of my 8 hrs. Or finding humor in news, as well as challenges and frustrations. Not-Bad life is Good-enough for me.

God bless you I wish I could walk a lot but I barely can walk my feet are numb my legs feel numb I have to be very careful walking driving etc it’s dangerous I don’t know why this is happening to me and I’m grasping for answers as to what I need to do what kind of doctor to see. I’m so glad you’re in great shape that’s wonderful

There is St John's Wort, Omega 3 fatty acids e,g, fish oil capsules, Lavender at night either diffuse it or mix some with oil and apply to wrists and temples, Acupuncture, and SAMe which is a naturally occurring hormone in the body you can get in capsules.

For lots of us, what fights off depression is how much we are able to draw out of the freebies that are within reach. Some Anti-depressants:

Think, fresh air. It's one thing I start with, even in the cold days for just a few secs (I know heating bills)

Movement/Exercise. Foot problems? Remember toddlers we were? Now find some activity that is soft or does Not use feet. The whole upper body...no I shud let you Enjoy finding what You can do.

Wholesome foods. Good for body And mind. Actually problems like obesity/diabetes will be rare with sensible foods, which are also Tasty, Smell good, Look good.

Finally FRIENDS. They are the best antidepressants. Why? Because the connection is most honest. You cant get unless you give -- of Equal Value, as in time, comfort, guidance, laughter, wonder/surprise. They are people yet we-the-people have forgotten how important we are to Each Other. So we suffer. Bizarre.
I am going to a singalong later; earlier to MacCoffee to find some. Yesterday I tried origami with three other; will try next wk again . Wish me luck; I wish u health.
