"Dents" in leg muscles

Posted by rubie @rubie, Jul 17, 2019

Developing dents in muscles of lower right leg - when I rub my leg, feel like a there's a hole in muscle and it is actually visible - saw reflection in store window. . . Surprised me for sure! I very frequently have terrible cramps/burning/stinging/"electric" pains in my legs and feet. Wondering if my muscles are sort of disintegrating. Anyone else know what I am talking about?

I have central pain syndrome and the muscles atrophy because the nerves are sending the wrong pain signals to the brain. I have it in my whole body (not all at once). It’s hard watching a muscle spasm and then slowly get weaker and weaker. I just tried cannabis and it isn’t helping so far 10 mg dose and 10 mg THC.

Good evening @sue15. So sorry to read about the pain in your body. When you tried "cannabis," was it medical cannabis that is often "subscribed" in licensed dispensaries? Usually, there are options like a 2:1 CBD/THC or even 30:1 CBD/THC. How did you "take" the dosage, a liquid tincture or a topical balm? I find 2:1 CBD/THC quite helpful and can move to
1:1 CBD/THC when the discomfort is more intense.

It is often a challenge to be our own prescriber. Many dispensaries have pharmaceutically trained support staff to help patients with the right amount of the right dosage......if you get what I mean. Let me know if I can help in any way.

May you be safe, protected and free from inner and outer harm.

I used a prescription written y my pain specialist. He believed in starting low and going slow. I used gummies right before bed. I don’t know if they helped because my other medication took care of my sleep. I stopped taking it. It’s expensive and I didn’t notice any change for the better.

Good evening, I am glad your pain specialist helped with your first medical cannabis dosage. I understand your concerns. Just for feedback purposes, I will share my thoughts and memories.

My life with cannabis began with homemade gummies when my friend in San Miguel de Allende made some for my visit. I don't know if they helped because I already had a pretty responsive nighttime dosage of tincture. What I did notice was the gummies were not impregnated evenly. So.....one small bite may be more saturated than the last one or the next one. I was just beginning to use medical cannabis after my SFN (small fiber neuropathy) diagnosis, so I decided to stay with products that have consistency. That was 11 years ago. Do you find the gummies to be consistent now?

Just a note.....about the potential of products in tinctures. You can easily adjust the dropper quantities. You can experiment with the entourage effects of combining CBD with THC. Depending on your activity, you can have different dosages ready to go. It does sort of put you in charge of prescribing.

Good luck to you, @sue15; I will be watching for your posts.

Hi @colleenyoung , thank you!
The indentations occur out of nowhere, they do bounce back however they are indented without me touching the area. They come and go and are quite deep I would say. Leg and feet are not swollen. No other symptoms. I am active and ride bike almost daily.
