For me—In addition to PT, exercises and stretches, walks -and i love gentle dancing to music in the apartment—movement very important when one can tolerate it without pain…DO and PT both say do the exercises for a short time, then rest—no need to do them all at once-often they help with mild pain, but don’t try to push too hard…if having a harder time , rest, use heat..maybe a topical thing like Topracin (arnica)…i see my osteopath DO/MD weekly for manual work on the muscles affected, and for advice.
