Not flattening yet. Yesterday’s US daily death toll of 3178 exceeds the 2977 who died on 9/11

Southern California is having a heat wave, people are flocking to the beaches, as many as 20 to 30 thousand people even though the parking lots to beaches are closed. People just walked... Some are observing social distancing but many are not. I guess people are just getting restless, but I'm worried this will cause a major set back in our fight to contain the virus.

@mayofeb2020 I agree with you if we see an increase it will be because these people just aren't listening to our Gov. or good sense

The bend continues with the daily world death rate down from 6347 to 5752 and the US daily death rate remaining steady at 1985.

I'm afraid we will definitely see significant increases in cases and deaths if people flock to beaches and go back to work too soon. We still don't have the testing and tracing capacity required to prevent outbreaks. And we need to get past the peak and be on a downward slope before the US can expect to begin managing outbreaks with testing and tracing. If we can't measure it, we can't manage it.

More significant flattening of the curves with the US daily death rate dropping from 1985 to 943.
