cromolin sodium nebulizing have you heard about it?

My immunologist suggested nebulizing with cromolin sodium 4ml twice a day instead of budesonide. She says its also anti inflamatory but it is not a steroid. I am still taking MAC meds (I have converted last september so there are a few month more if things stay the same)and I am so anxious to use steroids. I think I need them because when I stop, which I tried, I have tight chest. So if you used cromolin or heard about it please let me know. I am seeing my pulmonologist in August so I will also discuss with her otherwise when I email her her nurse answers in a couple of days unless its an emergency.
