Does anyone have Crohn’s and knows what helps with a flare up? Thank you!

I've had Crohn's for 50 years. In my experience, nothing can completely eliminate pain but I've found somethings that can give some relief. Ginger lemon tea with or without a touch of honey can help. Avoiding sugary treats and fiber; consuming only liquids like tea, boullion, consomme for a day then moving up to white rice, bananas, and citris; plain skyr(Icelandic yoghurt) ; no carbonated drinks. A heating pad can help or simply lay your warm hand on your aching gut. Rest and think beautiful thoughts-don't ruminate on the pain or all the things you think need to get done. Witch hazel on toilet paper can soothe your burning butt and is cheaper than wipes. Wear your bathrobe and slippers at home to let your family know this is not a good time. Also avoid belted or constricting clothing. Never take an NSAID. I hope this is helpful. Take your medicine and call the doctor if the pain is keeping you from functioning.
