Being vaccinated doesn’t mean you’re immune to Covid. Vaccinations are intended to ramp up our immune systems by making the elements of Covid recognizable to our immune response cells so that if we’re exposed, the cells will already be able to take appropriate action to help fight the disease…whatever the vaccination, not just for Covid.
While the vaccination can reduce your chances of getting the virus, it won’t 100% protect you from getting it. If you’ve contracted the virus, you can indeed transmit the virus to another person. You can be contagious for several days before even noticing symptoms in yourself.

Also, since the virus keeps right on doing its thing of mutating, current vaccinations may not be effective against the new variants. So it is always prudent to remain proactive against the virus by keeping current with vaccinations and also following the protocol of distancing, wearing masks in public places or crowed areas, hand washing/sanitizing, etc…
Were you recently exposed to anyone with the virus?
My best friend had both shots. plus a booster and still caught Covid again. She gave it to her grandmother and two children, lost her sense of taste and got pretty sick. Her grandmother ended up in the hospital on oxygen for nearly a month, the children only had a mild case. This was before children could be vaccinated.
