COPD and 1st exacerbation.
I am 62 and in my second year of being diagnosed with COPD. I had it for awhile before the diagnosis. I went from using a one-time inhaler (ANORO) and oxygen if I needed it. 92 is good for me at rest.
Now I use oxygen 24/7. Daytime is at 2 liters. Nighttime at 4 to 5 liters. 92 is good for me at rest.
I woke up this morning with my oxygen level at 87. I couldn't raise it with breathing or raising the liters to 5. This startled me because it had never happened before. My husband was just going to leave to go to our hunting land and I yelled for him to stay until I figure this out. I may have to go to emergency room. This is terrifying my friends.
It seems that when I did get up to use the bathroom, that movement chunked up enough of my lungs to finally get back to where I usually am. OMG! That felt like I was drowning but never die.
I am monitoring this with my sensor and pulled out my other inhaler that I can use with Anoro if needed.
I still can drive. I did bow hunt one day but now it doesn't look hopeful.
Anyway, you get my drift. I'm grateful and happy. Send me best wishes and I will return them to you!
Cheers,
Jill

Jill,
Blessed Be my Sister. I will bring your name into my morning ritual. Crystal
I would reach out to your medical provider. He or she may wish for you to come in or go to the ER. Hope things improve promptly.

So glad all is better for you. Have had a terrible 3 days of coughing. Settledown then after while again Lots of mucus but thing and white so seems good. Don't have a medical team to contact so just winging it.
Glad you have a husband as sure would make things more comfortable for a person.
