I know I had Covid. I don’t know. If It’s been two or three years my wife reminds me and lets me know of memories through the last month to past 5 to 10 years. I also get agitated very easily but it’s getting better. Sleep is better instead of waking up 7 to 10 times. I’m down to two or three things are getting better. I keep exercising stay away from coffee and sugar, and that Really seems to help me.
Update
My anxiety has been replaced as of 2 days with depression I think thats what it is. Not sure since I never really had it. But now I feel Real down for about 2 hours then it lifts comes back after 3 - 4 hour within the last 2 days .
But after 2 years I feel I am getting better.
Stay Safe.
Yes, I have short term memory all the time. Before Covid my memory was great. Some times I can't remember my kids birthdays and so much more.
Yes I also ask my wife to let me know the kids Bdays I think Im getting better but its been a long road It will get Better (:-}
My mind and recall was amazing prior to covid. I could be in a noisy packed conference room and I could completely focus on the main speaker, I could be busy doing my work not bothered or focusing on any distractions ...since contracting covid this has become a huge challenge for me, I'm also struggling with reading which was a passion of mine.
I'm a old guy who entered the world of post-COVID twice - and I had ADD going in. Now my short-term memory is worse, comes and goes in apparently no predictable fashion but not - insofar as I can tell - on a steady decline. I find that both bewildering and offering a glimmer of hope. It's like I KNOW I can get better - but how?
I find, here, that sleep regulation and planning my days more intentionally within the limits of post-COVID might help. Going to give those things a try. Not expecting immediate results. Like brain injury, the damage done by COVID may take a long time to heal - or it may not.
I know a woman who had a deadly stroke several years ago while working out at the gym. First she lived - then, after a couple of years, she regained the ability to use her left arm, then the ability to get out of the wheelchair and into a walker. She is brilliant and a woman of great faith - which drives her willpower.
I've known other brain-injured people who regain some surprising capabilities over time but not others. The things they regain come often as surprises, after the neurons have healed. It takes time, nutrition, therapy, and perseverance for the neurons to heal. Quit and you're done.
I am not going to give up. Please, if you read this - don't you give up either. Press on.
