Constant tinnitus: Are there any solutions?
It there any solution for constant tinnitis?
I have high pitched tones constantly though I have learned to ignore it mostly.
It can become louder at times, even loud enough to make me wince!

We've had much the same experience. The part about caffeine and sodium is true for me also.
I watched videos and went with a recommendation for Audicus Spirit.
Their customer service has made the difference for me in adjusting to hearing aids.
I have always gotten through to someone within an hour, if it's a call back.
But if it's working hours someone answers and helps me.
That is my experience as well. It is there and probably diminishes the quality of my hearing even with hearing aids. In bed morning or night it is most noticeable. If I am reading or something else has my attention I don't know it's there.
Hi All,
I have constant tinnitus which sounds like a car or truck engine or a plane overhead. I also have only 10 % hearing in my left ear and am considering getting a cochlear implant in that ear. Has anyone gotten a CI who also has tinnitus? I'd love to know if it helped reduce your tinnitus.
Thank you,
Gail
@2abbygail I am in the same boat. I lost hearing in my left ear. I am going to try the CROS hearing aids to see if there is improvement in quality of life, including getting rid of or reducing the church bells ringing 24/7. My ENT also referred me to a specialist for CI. I am going to give the CROS system a chance (60 days for refund) and see what happens. My active life needs to have both ears working.
I do not know if you have heard of Amikacin - Induced Tinnitus and if there is any treatment that can reverse or repair the damage caused by Amikacin? Also, would you recommend going to Mayo Clinic or Cleveland Clinic for treatment?

Hi:-) Good luck with the Bicros. I started wearing them in April and it made a big difference with my hearing but sadly it did nothing for my tinnitus. I still have a constant engine noise in my left ear and I often have a headache as a result. I"m still considering a CI, but I'm concerned about the long adjustment period and possibly being one of those people who can't make the adjustment. Once you go for a CI, there's no reversing it!
