Conception
Hi everyone,
I had sex with a girl on January 31. She had her baby on November 25, and was due on November 26. She said she conceived on March 7. Is there anyway this could be my child? I’m not too sure how far off conception dates can be.

Can I get an answer on this?
Hello and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I can understand your frustration with this. The only way to see if this is your child is to have a DNA test. Perhaps this calculation calculator can help?

You might have to ask your friend for some dates because some of this requires menstrual cycle information.
Was the baby pre-mature?
The baby was born almost on it’s due date. It was conceived March 7 and born November 26. I had sex January 31, which means the conception date would’ve had to be like 30 days wrong.
The date varies so much and it's hard to really tell the exact conception date. This seems very important to you. Why not just get a DNA test?

@merpreb is right....the data does vary but the longest I have ever heard was 15 days and only a DNA test will tell for sure since you seem to be having doubts about your partner.

@twhite172 - Using the information you gave us it would be impossible for you to be the father. Sperm does not survive more than a few days after intercourse - you have a time span of a month plus.
I agree with what has been posted above- if there is any question of paternity you can have a DNA test.
