@ipg
I am! My endo doesn’t want me to have a Dexa scan for another year. I’ve always had them yearly, maybe a bad idea since radiation can do havoc on our bones.
So I don’t know if the native path collagen has benefitted me or not.
I had taken it regularly for a year and no improvement . I have since then added ground flax, chia seeds, fish oil to my diet in hopes the added omega 3’s will make a positive impact. I’m going to invest in another REMs scan which is done with ultrasound instead. My last one was in October and no
Improvement. I take separate supplements.
D, K4 / 7, magnesium, Complex B.

Thanks and good luck
My docs do not recommend it…also could be hard on kidneys…good luck whatever you do !
@bethieb, I take the small container of Healthy Bones Fortibone along with Algaecal which has 4 collagen peptides including Fortibone. I also take Push dipeptides for healing when needed. My DEXA has improved considerably, but I don't know what led to that. I eat very well, all whole foods and mostly organic. I eat 6 prunes a day. I take about half the amount of vitamins recommended by Algaecal but most from Now Foods. I have added some vitamin K2 mk4 and more vitamin D. I have recently been in PT for knees, hips and pelvic floor and continue the exercises. I took a half dose of Tymlos for 18 months and Forteo for 6 months. I stopped Tymlos 4 months ago. I am also currently on a 25 mcg estrogen patch. I figure I will throw everything I can at osteoporosis and hope that something works!
I take collagen for about 2 years, last year it was fortibone.
I do not take OP medication at the moment, and I shall see results when I take REMS at the end of June.
I shall post results on this forum.
I use it, but I suspect the effect is small. It's just part of everything I do. You'd have to have a controlled study where one group takes collagen, the other doesn't, and all other factors are kept the same. Otherwise, how could you know what effect it has?
I've noticed no bad side effects, nothing with blood tests, etc., so I'll keep using it.
Collagen is not one of those supplements that you see immediately. I have taken it daily for over 25 years. I started it on my husband for FD brain health. So, I love it because it has kept me from needing knee surgery, but it would be hard to tell if it works on bone health.
